The Very Hungry Caterpillar comes to NYC in March… IN SPANISH

Are you one of those fans of The Very Hungry Caterpillar? Well, if you are, we have great news for you. After shattering box office records, Jonathan Rockefeller’s acclaimed production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show is bringing two special performances to our city, one of them will make us, Latinas, very happy.

On Saturday, March 12 at 4:30pm they will present an Autism Friendly show and on Saturday, March 19 at 4:30pm, a Spanish Language show on at the 47th Street Theatre (304 W 47th St.).  Tickets are $49.50 -$65.50 (Premium Seats) and can be purchased by visiting or by calling 212.279.4200. In addition to the special performances and due to popular demand the producers have also added a 4:30pm show on Saturdays beginning February 20, 2016.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, features a menagerie of 75 enchanting puppets during a magical 60-minute show that faithfully adapts four of Eric Carle’s beloved books for the stage: The Artist Who Painted a Blue HorseMister SeahorseThe Very Lonely Firefly and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

 And, what about the cast?

The best of the best ladies. The cast of “the funny caterpillar”, as my daughter calls it, includes: Jake Bazel (TV: “Sesame Street.” National Tour: Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train Live!.) Ariel Lauryn (Theatre: The Golden Toad Part IV, The Firebugs), Mindy Leanse (Theatre: Puppet Titus Andronicus,National Tour: Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train Live!), Weston Long (John Tartaglia’s Imaginocean!), Kayla Prestel (The Actors Project, The Morningtime of Now). Creative team also includes Eric Wright (Puppetry), Raul Abrego (Set Designer), Nicholas Rayment (Lighting Designer), Nate Edmondson (Sound Designer & Composer), The Puppet Kitchen (Puppets), CESA Entertainment (General Management).
